On my 04 Vectra the lighted entrance handle is pitted and the chrome or shiny metal appears to be flaking of of either some cheap aluminum or pot metal. Anybody replace or repair theirs?

Hi Bill,
Not sure if this will help, but I did not replace what you described on my coach but I did add this type of lighted handle on my former coach. It is very easy to install so, replacing yours should be similar. I can't imagine it taking any longer than 45 minutes at the most to replace. Just a couple of screws on the top and bottom of the chrome part and two small wires for the light bulb. Winny sells the replacements and they come ready for install. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for something that might hold up a little better than the stock handle from Winny.

Are you sure that you are not having a problem with the salt in the air corroding the bright metal? I know several people who have had that problem. I have had the same type handle on Winnebago manufactured coaches for years and not seen the problem you describe. None of my friends have had the problem either. Maybe you just had a bad plating job.
