We are in the process of installing a single pull out faucet in the galley. Can the PEX be cut and do you need a special tool to re-attach the fittings?

Hi Ho: PEX is easy to cut, but must be terminated in a fitting that is correct for the intended use including a crimp to make it water-tight. This requires a crimper which can be rented from your hardware store (like Home Depot). They are a couple of hundred dollers to buy, which makes the purchase questionable for a good many of us. Maybe you won't have to cut it at all?

Dirk, thanks. I did need to cut the PEX so I took the piece to a local hardware store and they helped with the fittings and only charged for parts. So far no leaks!
