I suggest you post a picture or two of your rack mounted on the coach, maybe with and without the bikes. And a web link to your exact model you chose.
In all the years of traveling around the country, I don't recall ever seeing a rack that doesn't use the hitch, ladder, or rear bumper. I used a cheap rack that used the ladder. For fulltiming, it was a big pain in the rear to use for two bikes, and difficult to prevent accumulated rubs & scrapes on both the ladder and bikes.
So for a long while I was on the hunt for a good solution for back of motorhome and towing a car. We wanted to get new Electra Townie bikes with pedal forward design, and I wanted a rack that would keep the bikes looking new. When I saw a coach towing and using this
Kuat rack I knew he had a good solution. It's a bit pricy and heavy, but it is excellent quality and functionality. I've had mine for almost two yrs and really like it.
Happy trails,
Bill
