Question fiberglass Roof repair or replacement

I have just purchased a 1992 winnebago Diesel Pusher the issues with this RV were the results of a bad storm the RV was placed in a barn immediately following the storm. So no structural issues to report the issues are the fiberglass sheeting was damaged a 3' by width of vehicle was torn off, I have the piece and am needing advice on repair, should I try and repair the existing fiberglass re glue it down and then patch over the rip or newly formed seems or should I buy a full roll to replace the entire roof. I have also looked into the rubber roofing replacement but most threads I have seen recommend going back with fiberglass.
I am fairly handy and mechanical by nature but not experienced and need direction from the veteran RV owners. Any direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated. would be interested in a list of materials needed and directions to take on this project including best practices and methods.
Thank You in advance

I think I would go with a whole new roof. Winnebago has an issue in that the edge of the roof's must be kept sealed to make sure the stays sealed. If part of it came off in a storm it is possible some more could come off either in another storm or more likely going down the highway. With the age of the motor home and if the rest of it is in good shape and if you plan to keep it for some time, I think I would go for an entire new roof. Then do the 6 month inspections to make sure the rood edges are sealed or re-dealed. It is a tough call, Good luck either way you go.

Look in this forum for the vintage motorhome catagory. I think there are people there who have totally replaced roofs. I think you'll see several different options. HarveyP
