Finding the fuse for the steps

I operate a 37 foot 1999 Winnebago Adventurer.
My steps recently failed to operate. I called my rv friends and looked here in this forum for a location for the fuses.
After much searching, I called Winnebago and they directed me to sit in the driver's chair and lift the instrument panel up.
The panel is not bolted down, nor even velchroed.
The fuses (all 3 of them) were there and clearly marked. I changed the one that had blown.
Because I had previously dis-assembled the motor, the steps operated in reverse - I had to cut the two wires and switch them with splicers to get the polarity right and the step to function properly.
Te steps are once again in good order.
