Floor in galley feels weak

We own a 2004 39'Itasca Meridian. We are fulltimers. We have noticed that when we stand in front of the kitchen sink the floor feels like it is giving in. We are concerned about whether or not to get additional support put under the flooring. We also noticed a weak spot developing in front of the lavatory in the bathroom. We have checked and there are no leaks at either place. We have extended warranty, but have never used it and wondered if this repair would be manufacturers responsiblity or ours? Would this take an appointment at Forest City?

It seems I read some time ago on this forum about someone having some floor cross members fail....can't remember if that was on a Journey/Meridian. Might want to do a search to see what shows up. If I was having that sort of issue and could reasonably get to the factory, that is what I would try to do. The folks at Winnebago should best be able to find the cause/solution.

I concur with smlranger. For structural items, I would give significant consideration to the factory for correction. They have all the knowledge of where floor members are, etc. and how to address.

I have a 2002 Itasca Horizon. The floor had "soft" spots. I took it to Forest City and had the floor rebuild. It was done within the three years structural warranty. It took them a week to complete the job. Definitely call Winnie and get the issue on record.

Just curious...what was the cause of the soft spots? Was it soft wood, broken welds on cross members, etc??

Not sure the exact cause of the soft spots. They appeared every 8 feet. Floor tiles were cracked at 8 foot intervals. Winnie put in a new sub floor. Could be a design flaw with the 39 QD floor plan.
