I am attempting to install the folding step ladder accessory in my Horizon 40AD. I have the carpet covered box, black metal bracket and the ladder. I have determined how the metal bracket attaches and have the following questions:

1. What holds the ladder box up on the handle end? I obviously don't have that part.

2. What is the purpose of the wooden knob on the top side, middle of the box?

3. Is the box attached to the black metal bracket or just inserted into the bracket?

Thanks,

LK23

I have that option but I can't remember how it all attaches. I'll let you know when I go to the storge area in the next few days.

Well I looked at the installation today and here we go.the box fits inside the black U shaped bracket and pivots inside the bracket. the box is supported at the other end by laying across a steel bar that runs from the back wall to the support that divides the two compartments. the wood dowl is captured by a clasp exactly like the ones that hold the wrenches to the back wall, this keeps the box from sliding forward during travel.

hogbreth,

Thanks, that helps a lot. The only part I have missing is the steel bar you mentioned. I have called Winnebago and they are sending me that part so I can complete the installation.
