We are going to take our coach in for some warranty work and would like to know which Freightliner dealer everyone would suggest. We live in the Phoenix AZ area. Thanks Susie

Welcome Demi, glad you have joined us.

Freightliner has an Oasis dealer in Tolleson, just west of Phoenix. Oasis service centers have committed resources to serving the motorhome community. This particular center has excellent reviews from rver's who have used it in the past. Here is a link to Freightliner's network:Freightliner Oasis Network

Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star Of Arizona
9600 W. Roosevelt St.
Tolleson, AZ 85353

I believe I saw somewhere on these pages, that someone was complaining about a Phoenix AZ FL. dealer.

I just had an M3 service done on my coach's chassis at the Freightliner Oasis service center in Tolleson, AZ last week. Kirk Ault is the service manager there, and runs a first class operation. You can take comfort that your coach will be serviced properly, promptly and you will be charged a reasonable amount for the service work and parts required.

BTW, they checked the air pressure in my tires at no charge--others here have mentioned about being charged for this service.

I would recommend the Tolleson facility to any Freightliner chassis owner.

What did they charge for the M3 service? I just bought a used 2002 Itasca Horizon with 55,000 miles on it and have deciced to get the chassis checked out in depth. I live near Las Vegas and was quoted 6 hrs at $110/hr plus parts and fluids. Does this sound about right?
Thanks
Richard

Rvarner --

If you can make it to Gaffney, SC (Freightliner factory) their labor rate in 2006 was only $60/hr. They do a very thorough M3. Had it done to my '00 Journey there last spring. You can call them to get an estimate (1-800 - FTL-HELP).

I've also had work done at the Tolleson (Phoenix) facility. If possible I would have all of my Freightliner work done there. They are a class act.

Don, what was the bottom line for your M3 done in Gaffney?

Steve,

About $1100 but that included 2 new engine batteries, a new 90 exhaust pipe, new roller bearings and service on the front brakes. I thought it was quite reasonable.

I'm scheduled for a M3 at Gaffney March 19 on the way back from KW. Was quoted 7 hrs. plus parts as needed. Including generator service.

Sounds about right. I was in and out in 1 day. Total elapsed time was about 10 hours. The extra costs for me were for the additional work on the exhaust, batteries, and the front brakes.

Again, I think it was quite reasonable.
