Fresh Water Pump Continues Running?

We just took deliever of our new-to-us 2002 Adventurer and in going through everything I've noticed that the fresh water pump runs continuously when turned on. When I went over the RV about 2 weeks ago I didn't notice this problem (but come to think about it I was on city water). I don't see water running anywhere on pavement, no faucets are on including the outside shower, and the freshwater tank is 2/3 full. I've checked the drains valves and they're closed (like I said, no signs of anything running on pavement). Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Is it filling your hot water tank? Just a thought.

That's a thought. If I have water flowing from the hot faucet (even if it's not hot) wouldn't that means it's full?

That is correct. A simple test will be to turn on the pump to see if it shuts off in a few minutes when the hot water tank is full.
By the way congratulation on your purchase

You probably have air in the lines. Starting at a faucet closest to the tank let the water run until it flows continuously without air spurts then close the faucet. Continue the process working your way to the faucet that's furthest away from the tank. When all faucets run continuously the pump should stop running a few seconds after the last faucet is closed.

Found out what it was! Turns out the 'city/fill' valve was left in the 'fill' position! Once it was turned......bravo!!!!

I still make that same mistake after 5 years because at most parks I'm topping off my fresh water tank!
