Trying to figure out what I am doing wrong here with the fresh water tank. On shake down cruise with 2010 Itasca Ellipse 40CD in Florida. I continue to fill up FW tank and am on city water but the FW tank continues to be depleted. I am running the FW through the reel hose and connector and the valve is in the normal postion (not tank fill). Any ideas?

Thanks

Bill

I dont really get it. ( I have the 42AD)

If you have filled up the tank there would be constant dripping evident to deplete the fw tank...(overfilling it will allow some siphoning though but wont get below 75%)

If you are on city water pressure with valve in vertical position tank wont fill...you have city pressure direct to faucets...water pump should be off.

Did you say that you had the water pump turned on while hooked up to city water? If so, even though you are hooked up to city water, when the pump runs, it uses water from the water tank. It's OK to leave the pump on when hooked up to city water to help keep the water pressure a little higher at the water faucet...many folks do this, but when the pump runs, it's using water from your fresh water tank.
