Front Side Mirrors

I supose I could scratch the mirror bracket and answer this question, but I am not near my 2000 Itasca Suncruser and I am comfortably watching my Blue Jays beating the Yankees. Is the mirror bracket Aluminum or a plastic composite? I want to install a side camera and I would prefer metal rather than plastic to drill the screw holes to attach the camera bracket. I am open to other suggestions if this solution can be improved upon. Thanks
