I used the LK23 (Luke23) thread it has pictures and all. Do a search on 40AD TV. I used a 32" Vizio TV (already had it) with the Sanus Mount (expensive but works well). I also used a jigsaw vs. the router and sanded alot. Also did not put the trim on bottom as that is a good way to pull thr TV out if left open.
I also had to buy and extra mounting bracket to attach the mount to the TV. One more thing is the offset front to rear and left to right on the "T" 2x4's. LK23 does not say but gave me measurments that were for the Sony TV via e-mail. They were different for the Vizio. Mine were 8 1/2" from front of cabinet to front of 2x4 and 14 1/2" from left inside of cabinet to center of 2x4. Hope this helps.

HI Dogwood:

Might as well just take out a gun and shoot yourself in the head right now!!! Less painfull than installing the TV..It is a royal PIA.

I am in the midst of it as we speak. I can tell you the smallest width of a new 32 in TV is the Sylvania LC320SLX.... 720 DPI... Kmart has them on sale $379.00 I measured about 10 different brands. Try and get speakers in the front, mine are on bottom, try and get variable output RCA Jacks to hook up your surround sound jacks, try and get a smaller mount that works, try and pull that 80 lb monster out the top by yourself and disconnect the wires at the same time. Save the old RCA jacks and canister from old TV, take off back and disconnect from speakers, just in case you have to reuse them on your new setup if you can't get your surround sound to work correctly.

The Sylvania will fit INSIDE your wooden molding from your old Sony setup if it the same as mine. The width of the TV is 29.75 inches wide. Smallest I ever seen.

I am replacing both the front and the bedroom TV in my 2004 Itasca Meridan 36G.

Search here there are many differnt ways of doing it. I am going the oak plywood and angle iron mounting route. You can find the Sanus TV wall mount at Wall Mart $59.00 fits 13 to 32 in TV's.

I purchased another mount on line, to big, to heavy, didn't like the setup. Make sure you look at the mount you want to use and how it applys on how you intend to mount the TV braket inside the steel cage.

Good Luck..... I only have about two full days invested so far, not even half way done.

I managed to remove the front TV without too much trouble. The rear one was more work. Winnebago used some their glue there. They use it every where. I already had a TV, so will have to remove some of the side panels as others have done. I expect to be able to use the existing AV and component wiring as it was on the Sony. Biggest task is insuring that the 2X4's are secure enough to hold the TV

Hi Bob:

Check out this link. I think it is easier than the 2x4 setup. Two setups here look at 33V.

Remove the metal top strap completely. Just get angle iron and 3/4 in. oak plywood, or regular plywood for that matter. The angle iron attaches to the plywood, and bolts to the steel cage on each side. Strong as a brick Sh**House.

I may just put a decorative piece of oak over the opening in the bedroom, miter the edges, and flush mount the new 22 in. Dynex right to it. Fast and easy, but I haven't decided yet.
