I posted some time ago with questions regarding my fuel gauge in the coach not working right. (See Signature) NOTE: Fuel pump and sending unit were replaced and all grounds checked.

So I did some research and found this......

My coach has a AJR cluster and the only way to repair the gauge is to replace the gauge cluster. Workhorse says they have 160 of them in the warehouse in Chicago and they cost $435.00 each.
I contacted the local Chevy dealer, Workhorse authorized, and they said I was to take the cluster out, bring to them, they will ship to LA somewhere and the cluster would be refurbushed for.... you guessed it, $400.00!!

Looks like I will be using the mileage method for awhile!!

FYI

David;

That is scary news because it could happen to me as well. I used to have a 52' house boat. My DW said it was nothing but a hole in the water where I put my money so we sold it and purchased a MH. Not much has changed except my money now goes into some secret compartment under the MH some place. Every time I go to the shop the bill is always at least 500.00 but look at all the fun we are having! Fun does not come cheap.

Don

David, Ouch!! Damned, if they don't get us up front they catch us later. The mark-up on the parts, etc., associated with RVs is ridiculous. We had our dinette booth removed and asked about purchasing chairs. Winnebago wanted $1,500 for four dining table chairs, two of which were the folding type.
