What kind of MPG are people getting out of Journey's with the new 380hp DEF engines? Are the new units getting more or less MPG then the pre 2011 units?

On a 03 Winnebago Journey DL32 300HP Cummins/Freightliner we had
a average of 9.129 MPG US for 10,000 mile trip.
Best was 10.7 for a 1500 mile section.
Average was brought down by prairie headwinds.

In the 2 outing we have had with the new unit, we have gotten the same milage as we did with the gas unit, between 7-8 mpg. At least I did not go down in MPG for the comfort and performance of a deisel

I have been experimenting with aerodynamics below/above motor home
Roof deflector achieved best results- worst MPG with head/crosswind 8 mpg
Best-was was 10.4.
Biggest MPG saving is steady throttle under 60 MPG.
