How hard is it to get to the furnace fan? Mine is vibrating like it's severely imbalanced and I suspect some mud daubers have nested on it.

Thanks,
John

Sounds like a dobber nest on your blades or a bad bearing on the fan motor. You may be able to look in from the outside and see the nest and then break it up with a probe and then blow it out with some compressed air. Hope this helps you out.

Mud daubers nest in the furnace squirrel cage blower - been there and done that!!! Be sure and get one of the little screens that fits over the vents on the furnace cover door to prevent it from happening again. Wasps LOVE the smell of propane for some reason.

Thanks,

I also had a fan vibration problem with mine although it turned out to be a 8 year build up of crud on the blades instead of a mud dauber nest.

Winnebago usually uses Suburban furnaces. After you remove the outside cover there is a screw on the bottom front center labelled "Remove for Service". With it removed and the propane disconnected the furnace can be removed leaving the plenum in place.
I did not have to pull mine out all the way to get to the fan blades to clean them though.
On my old 96 motor home the furnace pulled out easily but this one appeared to require the control board to be removed so I just pulled the furnace out far enough to clean the fan blades.

Be careful not to bend the copper tubing though. I had a heck of a time getting the fitting reconnected. I ended up removing a speaker in the outside entertainment center so I could get my hand in a position to push on the fitting while I screwed it back on.
