Furnace thermostat

I am tired of my thermostat waiting for up to a 7-8 degree change in temp before it cycles again. What kind of thermostat do most folks use for replacement. It's the original heat/cool with 2 speed fan, and has six wires instead of 4 wire home thermostats. Thanks

Quick answer; I had the same problem and searched this forum for a post that describes what thermostat to buy, and how to install. I did this, and the thermostat only cost around $20. You do need to buy and install a little toggle switch to operate the two speed fan.

What kind of furnace/ac do you have? There are numerous posts on another forum about changing the thermostats...Try MYrvtalk.
