Generator fumes

Has anyone added a extension (flexible if possible) to the gen exhaust to direct the fumes away from their RV. I know there is a commercial product but I'm looking for a DIY solution.

If you use the search box at the top with the Google logo, you'll find many threads about Gen Turi generator exhausts. Many have made their own out of gutter downspout or plastic pipe. You can also use Google to find more home-made versions of the Gen Turi.

Advantage of the Genturi type designs is that the exhaust gases are lighter than air and the heat of combustion from the generator forces the gases up, so just getting them above the roof in some PVC piping is sufficient protection. Once up there the rules of hot gases takes over and they rise.

Ditto on the Genturi type devices. You want them to flow up and over the top with no chance of them getting blown under your coach.
