My gen works fine but the Hobbs meter and the gen on lite stopped working all of a sudden. Any ideas where I should start my search? Also, I was pre-cooling my MH yesterday with house power and the line amps showed 24 but when I switched to gen power it fell to 14 amps. Is this normal?

inspectorudy, Do you have a 30A or a 50A system? This info might help achieve a better response. Initially I'm thinking that the generator may have split the load across 2 poles for such a drastic drop in the connected load.

I have a 30 amp system and I noticed later that the Powerline panel only shows a 30 amp indicator and not gen on bus light at the top of the panel. In the past it seems like I could go over thirty amps when on the gen. I checked the two breakers in the gen box and they were both on. I checked all the connectors and they looked good. I am suspecting the panel but don't know how to go about checking it.

What I have been able to find out from the Powerline manual is that if the "gen on" is not working then it means that there is no 12 volt signal coming from the Powerline module. I cannot find the module and have looked in all the wrong places so far. Any idea where it may be on an '05 Adventurer? Where does the gen put out 12 volts and how can I check it. They also mention a fuse in the module that might be the culprit but not if I can't find the module.

Not sure about your rig, but my 03 Journey (50A) has circuit boards associated with the power management system located in the AC breaker panel.

Ernieh, you were right about the module. It was inside the A/C breaker panel. Unfortunately the fuse was good and the operating light was green as it was supposed to be. I guess I'll have to call the Powerline people on Monday to see if they can tell me why I don't have a 12 output from the gen.
