Thanks so much for the fuel pump video. We will have to check everything.

bflinn has it right. diagnose the problem, dont guess. do a fuel pressure test. the local parts store has lost of test equipment for loan. do a diagnosis on the generator, dont just throw parts at it. many parts are also available at your local parts store, it doesnt have to say onan on it to fit. there are even adjustable fuel pumps available. granted, original will fit, but sometimes generic is just as good. most mfg just repackage parts in boxes with their name on it. i dont know of many who make all their own parts.
often, just a fuel filter will solve this problem. get a service manual for your gen. they are free on the internet. without a service manual, you are just guessing. guesses get expensive. the manual has a procedure for almost every situation.
lastly, do the maintenance. there is no excuse for neglecting of something you expect to work when you really need it.
unless the fish are biting. thats a reason not an excuse.

You need to replace the fuel pump. same thing happened to me, and the fuel pump corrected the problem.

Hi everyone. I wanted to share how we solved our generator problem. After watching
many videos and crossing our fingers it was not a fuel pump, we found a solution
on YouTube. We purchased a can of Seafoam at Walmart, mixed it with fuel in a container, attached a tube and ran it back through the carburetor. At the same time,
we also used a carburetor cleaner sprayed directly into the carburetor. The generator now starts and runs continuously. Link below:
