Going to Forest City
We are having trouble with our HDMI cord. We are taking our MH to Forest City to have them take a look at it. There were pretty sketchy on info once we get there. Is there a place to park it and hookup at there plant ? Do they have good directions once you get there ? Is there anyone who has been there for work who good steer me where to go and what they did ? Thanks as always for your help.

We stayed at a local park when we visited. Iron ranger setup. Nice place to stay and close to the factory.

I was there in 02. They put us accross the street where they hold the GNR. Electric and water and dump station.

There is RV parking with electrical hookups at the plant and visitors center. I believe water is also available on the plant side. Easy to find on the south side of town. Make an appointment, arrive the afternoon prior and get one of the RV spots. Check it out on Google Maps sattelite View.

I was there the last two years. It is best to have a appointment, otherwise just show up. If you make a appointment, they will send you a map and directions. You need to make an appointment several months in advance. If you are just showing up, you will have to wait until they can fit you in. There is free RV parking at the visitor center and there are also sites North of the service center. These areas have electric only. You can get water and dump at the GNR grounds. If you don’t have a appointment, show up at the service center at 7:00 and they will put you on a list.
In there busy times you may have to wait 2-3 days
They are very good to work with and I highly recommended going there.

We were there last fall. As mentioned I would make an appointment. The spaces at the service center and the visitors center are for people who have appointments. When you make an appointment you will get a camping permit to display in the windshield. The permit is used by the security department to be sure all those that have appointments have a place to park.
In the warmer months you may be able to stay at the Winnebago owned GNR grounds across the street from the service center. However these sites are generally not plowed during the winter months.
If you choose not to make an appointment you can stay at Pammel Park. It's a city park about a mile from the service center. It costs about $15.00 per day. The sites have an electric hookup, and water is available at the dump station when the weather is above freezing.

The Visitor Center Hookups are for anyone. You can get the permit inside the Visitor Center

That all depends on the time of the year and the weather conditions. During the winter months they do not plow out the camping spots on the gravel road to the east of the service center. In fact some of the spaces on the paved lot in front of the service center are not accessible because that's where they plow snow to clear the lot.
If they have enough service appointments to fill the spaces available at the service center and the visitors center they will not issue a camping permit to someone without an appointment.
During the non snow months the spaces at the service center are reserved for those with an appointment and anyone can setup at the visitors center on a first come first serve basis.
We have been to the service center during the Thanksgiving week and in January. On both occasions the paved lot at the service center and the lot at the visitors center were reserved for people with service appointments.

While you are there, be sure to visit the Visitor's Center and take the factory tour. Very informative.

If your HDMI cable is defective, I would first insure it isn't an issue with the connectors on the devices you use it with. If not, call Winnebago owner relations and talk to a tech to see where the ends are connected to the Cat 6 cabling - they can provide you with the routing. In most cases, I believe they are using Cat 6 Ethernet cabling to get near to to the devices and then convert to an HDMI ended cabling. It might be as simple as finding the connection point and making certain all connections are intact. Had a similar issue in my coach with the RGB wiring caused by an open connector.
