Just started looking around for insurance and got a price of 360 dollars a half for our ordered 2011 35J .It is about 120 dollars less than our car insurance that we have our 2003 Sightseer on .Just wondering the good or bad stories you have and would you go with them or not. Thanks

If you are talking about Good Sam Vehicle Insurance through GMAC we have been with them for years and are happy. We have had a couple of claims over the years and were treated fairly. As far as price is concerned, I have not found equal coverage for less.
In general I have nothing bad to say about them.

Check with Farm and City Insurance Services in Forest City, IA. They advertise in the Winnebago publications. Good Sam/GMAC raised my rates every year, no claims made, so I looked around. FCIS is an insurance broker and they found me better coverage with lower deductables at a better rate - the package I ended up with is
through Nation Wide.

.....We have been with S/farm for 30+ yrs, home, auto's and previous RV. Upgraded RV 5 yrs. ago and thought I would compare pricing. Found Gilbert RV insurance agent in Fla that beat S/farm by almost $300.00 a year. We had no choice, so compare, you will be surprized. Good luck,
David G.

we bought our moho in 2006 and got good sam coverage.
we have umbrella liability coverage with state farm. last year state farm would not renew our umbrella policy because they said that good sams insurance carrier (gmac) had been downgraded by an insurance rating company.
we shopped around and went with state farm for rv insurance for about the same price.
we also changed our road service to aaa rv+. imho we got better coverage for less money. the biggest reason for the change for me is that good sam would only pay to change our mounted spare tire. we carry an unmounted spare tire so that was a major problem.

We have State Farm. I recently did an apple to apple comparison with Good Sam and they wanted exactly double the premium for one year. I thought that the quote had to be wrong so I called them and went over everything in our S.F policy and Good Sam still came out to twice the cost. I think that Good Sam was better years ago. When I think Good Sam...I think motorhome. Not anymore. Happy Trails no matter who you go with. Joe

The financial problems of Affiinity Group and it's owner would make me wary of insuring with them.
