Our Goodyear tires are now 6 years old and they are showing some real weathering signs, but then again they are also wearing tread thin and we will be replacing them later this year as they have about 70,000 miles on them. Our plans were to head for OR and replace them tax free but now it looks like we will have to do it at a truck tire place we found in Co. Springs back in 2004. It appears to make no business sense to go to OR for 1 or 2 RV shows when there are a bunch of them going on in the mid-West.

Our G670's are 5 yrs old and show no signs of weathering. However, I have set a limit of 7 yrs and will replace them then.

I put 10 years on G-670's with out a hint of weather checking. I had 3600 miles (yes 3 thousand 600 miles), on Michelins and they were so weather checked they had to be replaced. Michelin thumbed their noses at me for any all responsibility. Even a large tire distributor could not get them to stand behind their tires. No I have never used any kind of tire dressings.

Excellent article in this months edition of RV View about tires. How they are made and what to look out for.

I was suprised to find that Goodyear does not have an age replacement recommendation. I think I would still go with thw 7 year replacement.
