Welcome to IRV2. You may want to post your question in our Vintage RV forum.

There may be some Winne owners here who can help.

I had that same problem on an '84 MH that I formerly had. What i did was: cut the straps, dropped the tank, put up the new tank and used some pieces of new strap material to link the old strap that I had cut. Worked great, I used self tapping screws to join the strapping. Another way is to link the pieces back with turnbuckles.

thanks j... my tank is held up by a frame with 4 long bolts and nuts. they look like the head goes up through plywood. then the bolt hangs down through the frame and that is what holds the tank into place. I was thinking about just cutting the frame and then replace the tank and then reconfigure the frame... i guess there are some gaskets for the tank right? thanks for your input....don

My tank did not have gaskets, a 3" rubber hose was used for the connection with large hose clamps.
