Gutter Spouts

OK, what type of gutter spouts do I need to order for a 2006 Sightseer 29R? I looked at some Camco extended spouts, but they seem to only fit the standard RV type gutters - not the proprietary gutter/awning mount used by Winnebago/Itasca. I am tired of the mess that runs down the driver's side window from the AC.

Thanks,

This weekend was the "Winnebago Work Party". Yesterday I cleaned out the roof side seams and pumped in new Manus Bond 75 all the way down each side. Today was a total wash down, starting with the roof. Next was hand application of MacGuires wax and buffing out with a towel and 10" buffer.

I think that next year I will use the 2" Eternabond to make the roof seam permanent, along with the 4" along the front roof to cap seal. The back cap is sealed with some pretty new looking lap sealant, so it has a reprieve - for now. I travel with a roll of each size of the Eternabond should any surprises pop up.

You have to modify the spouts. There is no pre-made gutter spout that fits the Winnebagos.

I made my own out of a clear plastic water bottle and glued them in place with clear silicone. Just cut strips from the length of the bottle for the natural curve and trim to suit. I made them about 3-4" long to get the water away from the coach.

Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the ideas.

I may try to make my own like the example shown. If it turns out that my fabrication skills are less than adequate, I may go for the gutter channel that mounts above the window (from the the E-ZE link). I would like the extension that routes all the water away from the side of the coach though.

Not a lot of skill required. Just pick a water bottle that is one of the HD ones, not those flimsy recycle things. Cut it into strips about 3/4" to 1" wide and 4-5" long. From there it's just a bit of trial and error to trim till you get the profile you need. Then put a little silicone on the gutter and your spout, use a small clamp of some sort to hold it in place until the silicone cures. Bingo, Bob's yer Uncle.

P/S, my gutters had the Camco extensions installed but they did not extend far enough. My extensions are attached to the OEM's

I just installed the camco's this past weekend. Had to cut them to get them into the track from the top and just sealed really well around them. I do have to go back and do a bit more sealant but they are in and dripping water out the end so I call it a win.

What I did was cut the bottom of the plastic drip tray out so it just forced down through the back of the channel. Then once I was happy with how it was sitting I used a self tapping screw to get it into the rail on the side and into the roof on the top tab. After that it was just a bunch of black silicon around the edges to seal everything up.

Hopefully this weekend I will get a chance to try a home built solution for the front drip rails. It looks like the Fleetwood products discussed in the other link (above) may also do the trick, I just have to find the most current part number for it! Those appear to insert into the awning channel, which is exactly what I need.

This is what I put over all the windows. I extended it on the drivers window (and others) so it never drips or streaks onto the windows as it's channeled to the sides. Clean the surface and they stick like crazy.

Drip Rails

They match the rubber seals on the trim I have on all the windows so it looks original, unless you're looking close up. This model year RV has a problem with leaks onto the dash, and mine had one spot where a drip would develope, and as soon as I installed this drip rail on my front windows, that stopped.

I've never liked those channel extenders anyway. The ones I installed on my other RV, just blew off in the wind.
