H9 headlight bulb upgrade

The light output from the low beam headlights on my 2013 Winnebago Journey is so dim that at times it's hard to tell that the lights are even on. I suppose that I could try aiming them lower but I really doubt that would help. The stock bulbs are H9 65W. I am thinking of trying some LED replacements. Wondering if anybody has experience with this sort of thing. My high beams are H9's also but since I rarely use them I just plan to upgrade the lows.

Those LED replacements I have looked at are longer than the GEH9. That slowed my search & I haven't got around to checking to see if they will fit in my Hella projection fixtures.

2 threads out there now in the "Class A Motorhome Discussions"
Highly recommended (but different) vendors in each thread.

LED headlight upgrade

LED Headlight Upgrade, very impressed

One thing I noted in the second thread when exploring the option is LED replacements for DRL incandescent aren't recommended due to the way most DRL are implemented with a lower voltage. Haven't decided to make the jump yet, still wrestling with do I want to just turn on the headlights and live with all lights on all the time?

What makes the lighting appear less is perception. Measure the distance between your line of sight when in your MH vs in your auto. In the MH you are looking down on the roadway at a much greater angle than when in your auto.
I used to have a remote-controlled floodlight atop my MH(don't ask) which really lit-up the roadway on deserted stretches of roadway or in CG's, when I turned it off it was almost like no headlamps.

I tried LED's. Nice spread out about 50' then nothing. Went to high output halogen and they're better.
