I'm not sure why you want to replace them. Are they dim, burnt out, or just plain old?

If you're looking for direct replacements the H4651 is the outer hi/ low beam lights. The inner hi beam lights are H4656. They're available in many brands from any auto parts stores, farm stores and even Walmart.

There are also supposedly brighter versions of the same lights from many companies.

I also went with the Sylvanias and they helped some. What really helped a lot was the installation of fog lights. They light up the area in front of the coach down low. This also means that the lights are adjusted quite low as to not annoy oncoming drivers. I run them all the time and no one has ever flashed me.

The lights don't need to be great, I got some cheap ones and Walmart for less than $20 and wired them in.

When I was doing all this, I checked the voltage at the headlights and it wasn't low enough to motivate me to install relays. I don't think that the brightness of the headlights is really the issue.

Headlight aim is also critical, I had a lot of issues with this until I re-secured that headlight panel.

I thought about that on my 98 Luxor. It has the narrow cat's eye headlights. I solved it by installing HID on the lower beam. It made about a 125% difference in the ability to see. Well defined, very bright, right in front of the coach. I'll get the high beams done this spring. Installed cost was $150.00.

I guess my question is do you want to replace only the bulbs due to a burn-out, or the entire light housing and lens due to yellowing, or maybe you want a completely different style or size of housing, which becomes a lot bigger installation problem.

I know on my '05 Itasca, I want to replace the entire housing and lens due to yellowing of the lens. My headlights are actually from a 2003-generation Chevrolet Suburban, and I can replace them for the same price, or less, then having them professionally restored.

I did recently see the before-and-after results of a professional restoration on a Mercedes CLK, which uses a huge clear lens, and was completely impressed with the final results. It took out all the surface scratches from car washes and such, along with taking out the yellow and making them crystal-clear. But it comes down to cost; I can replace the housing and lens on my motorhome for about $35 each; that CLK, if replaced with OEM units: just under $1,000.
