I would swear that I linked to a Winnebago diagram that showed how to install the tric-l-start. Of course, now that we've bought this add-on, I can't find the diagram anywhere, nor can I find the discussion from which I previously linked. I know it was somebody on this site who posted the link. Please help if you can.

I finally found a previous post, but it was specifically for Journeys and Meridians. WE have the 2005 38G Adventurer. If anybody has specific information for that model, I'd be forever grateful. Thanks in advance.

I can't post a link directly to it from here, but if you go to Yahoo Winnebago Owners Forum (you probably will need to register there if you haven't already done so) and look in the 'Files' section you should find a copy of the Winnebago Service Bulletin. This is specifically talking about Journey/Vectra installs, but the install should be similar in most any coach.

(on edit) Here's a link Trik-L-Start Installation but it may not work if you haven't registered with the Yahoo group.

Hi Janjanjan - I just installed a trickle start in my 04 journey. I found the battery isolator in the main electrical panel in the front of the coach above the genset. There was insufficient room to work through the access hatch so I removed the 12 screws the held the frame to the access hatch and the rest was easy. Even with removing some of the expanding foam I could not get a wrench under the isolator nuts on either side so I drilled a 1/8" hole in the large solderless connectors and attached the trickle start leads with self tapping screws.

I checked the voltage 24 hours later and both battery banks were reading 13.2. Before trickle start install, the cranking bank was reading 11.8. I like this trickle start product.

Good luck,
Larry
