Of all the things there are to confuse us on our Tour, this simple little thing has us stumped. The bulb in the ceiling fixture near our One Place has burned out. And, we can't figure out how to get to the bulb.

It's not the "standard" small round ceiling fixture. It's sort of a "popeye" round fixture that swivels around and sits in a plastic housing. See picture below.

Any and all ideas are appreciated.

Thanks,
Mary

This is a guess. but the swiveling part is two pieces that snap together.

Alas, I think some of them are designed .... .Well... Google a song: The Designer, it's by Dr. Jordan Kare,,,, Who by the way is a genuine rocket scientist (As in he designs rockets)

He also writes some good songs.. Including one that was refrenced by Buzz Aldren after the last shuttle disaster.. As it happens I'd downloaded that song about 2 days before the server crashed (Which was about 10 minutes after Buzz mentioned it on National TV)

Thanks, it helps but raises other concerns referencing the "overheating" some folks have experienced. I've looked at this light several times and have thought about investigating how to access it -- now I'm thinking about a replacement. Another item to discuss with the folks at Winnebago when we visit in April.

I don't really understand why overheating would be a problem with this light. When I want to look at the panel at night I turn on the light. When I am done I turn it off. I have no reason to leave it on any longer than that.

When we bought our MH, the tech who did the walk-thru specifically told us not to use this lamp as a night-light. Apparently many folks like it for that purpose and leaving it on all night will indeed create an overheating condition.
