I need to run a new monitor cable to the rear of my MH and take out the prewired existing cable.
It is too tight to take out this existing cable much less put through the new cable at the driver's side where this dash panel meets the up extension. My solution is to take out the front dash panel nearest the windshield in order to provide room for removal of the old cable and the insert of the new one.

I have removed the screws and the defrost inserts but there must be additional connections that need to be removed before the panel itself can be removed. Is there a better option?

Any suggestions ....?

Hese's a link to the Itasca wiring diagrams:
Wiring Diagrams

You didn't say which model you have but if you follow the link all the 2000 models are available. When you find the one you're looking for expand the view to 125% or more. The diagram shows how the dash panel is secured to the body. Just a quick look at the G35B diagram shows the cable running up the A pillar and through the roof channel all the way to the back of the coach. It looks like a miserable job to replace.

There appears to be a bolt well hidden and, for me not accessable, so I gave up lifting this front panel and will place the cable under the chassis. A whole new world has opened up....

Hi Ho: We have a 2000 Suncruiser (Model 35U). What model do you have. I have installed new wires for everything because I didn't like the sound system. There is lots of room in ours, but we don't know what model you have.

If anyone figures how to remove or open the dash, I would be interested to see photo's and would like to get into mine.

On ours, the back cover of the dash comes off with 4 screws.
Everything is easy to get to from behind.

I couldnt tell from the diagrams if yours works the same way.
