We have the MH listed in the sig... We had slide issues and learned on Friday that parts had to be ordered from Winnebago. We have reserervations for Memorial Day Weekend at Myrtle Beach. We learned that hoses had to be ordered for slide. Should we count on Memorial Day or not... What is turn around time for parts???

When traveling and stopping at Walmart's, etc. I never put my slides out. If your slides will stay in go to Myrtle Beach and fix the slides when you get back..

The dealer doing the repair should be able to give you the best idea as to the amount of time it will take to get the parts. They probably could have asked when they ordered the parts if they were in stock and available to be shipped immediately or not. Also paying extra for 2nd day delivery may have been an option. Check with your dealer to find out what they think the chances are of getting it fixed before your trip. And good luck!

Absolutely, the dealer should have the best answer based on where they are, what they had to order, how they ordered it, etc. They do have a "trip saver" option to rush parts, normally at higher cost to you. Another factor in this case is that your slide hydraulic lines & fittings may be coming from HWH rather from Winnebago. (if you have an extended warranty, they normally do not cover "hoses", but they do normally cover "lines...)

Not a bad suggestion to go ahead with the trip and have it repaired when you return ...ASSUMING 1) you are aware that if the slide hydraulics are leaking, running your leveling jacks will likely cause the lines to leak also (did on our coach); and, 2) you can use the rig in it's current condition, either using jacks and slides with tolerable leaks, or you can use it without having to use the slides or jacks. Again, you'll need to talk with your dealer's service dept to get the answers to those questions.

I just had the hydraulic hoses replaced in my Journey, bedroom side. In my case the Hoses were part of a HWH recall, and the hoses were ordered directly from HWH. HWH over knighted the hoses to my dealer, and HWH covered the cost of the hoses and the labor to replace them. The dealer needed about 5 hours to replace them...

FYI, I spoke with HWH prior the hose replacement, great people to talk with..

One more point, I asked HWH about traveling, prior to having the hoses replaced, they cautioned me, saying that if a lot of hydraulic fluid had leaked out, the side could open slightly during travel.

Take Care..
