Do you 2006 Journey owners have a TV power controller that cuts the Front TV off when the ignition switch is turned on? My Journey does not have such a controller. According to the wiriing diagram for the 2006 Journey it should have this power controller. If you have one of these controllers where is it located?

Mine is supposed to be one of the 120 volt plug sockets next to the TV - on the same side as the video switch and DVD/Video player. One of the sockets is straight through and the other is apparently relay controlled to the ignition switch.

In my case, the TV was plugged into the straight through socket. I haven't tried the other socket, but others have told me that it switches off with the ignition switch.

Might be worth a try.

Thanks Bob. but I tried all the 110 outlets on either side of the TV, none is cut off when the ignition is on. From what the wiring diagram shows it is a single outlet. The diagram shows it to be in the left side cabinet over the drivers head. I thought maybe it might be behind the TV but was hoping someone would know for sure before I took the TV out to look.

Ted, I don't know if this helps you but on my 2004 39K there is NOT a 120 outlet behind the TV. There is one in each of the compartments on either side of the TV cabinet.

Ted,

In the 120v outlets, there are two sockets. One of the sockets will be ignition switch controlled, and the other one is not. Ours is in the cabinet over the drivers side. I just moved the plug from one socket to the other to have the TV work all the time.

Bob,
Yes this does help. I didn't think it would be behind the TV and I was really dreading trying to figure out and get that Sony out of the cabinet so I could see.

Look again on both shelves. Mine has a duplex outlet on the top on fulltime, and a second duplex plate with ONE outlet on the lower shelf that's switched

Switched outlet is at the rear of the lower shelf
