High Temp Batteris

I leave my coach plugged in when not in use. Recently, I have begun receiving a message at the power center that says, "charger off High Batt Temp". I service the batteries about every 4 months. Anybody have any ideas as to what will cause this other than the obvious....the batteries are hot? Is this area vented and possibly that has become plugged? Is there a malfunction or problem with the charger?

I have read through many of the previous threads but none that I could find that addressed this specific issue. Thanks for any help.

I'm not a guru, but I'll give it a try...

Assuming you have a Dimensions system, for that error message the manual says...

"Indicates that the charger has shut off due to high battery
temperature 47°C – 50°C (117°F - 122°F)."

<Probable Cause> "Battery compartment is too hot and needs to cool down. The charger will automatically turn back on when it has cooled down to 40°C (104°F)"

You don't say where you are located... is it possible your compartments are in the sun and could be getting that warm?

I'd check it with a thermometer and go from there; and if it's not hot then I guess I'd next consider a faulty sensor or unit and contact Airpax Dimensions.

Just a guess...

I do have a Dimensions Inverter, I'm in the Seattle area so the temps outside were about 50 today, I even opened both the battery and inverter compartment doors thinking that may allow it to cool.

I'm leaning toward thinking there is some type of falty sensor. It read this fault error for several hours and the only way I could get it to "reset" was unplug the coach and let it set for about 2 hrs and when I plugged it back in, it worked normally.
