Hood latch repair on 2004 Winnie Brave

Looking for some good advice on repairing my 2004 Winnebago Brave hood latch. It has become separated from the fiberglass. Also, the frame on the coach side where the mechanism attaches, is starting to crack and is loose. I have read several fixes but not anything recent. Just wondering if there is some new ideas out there.

"pacearrowben"......Go the Winnebago Owners Forum on here and do a search. It seems that Winnebago glued on the front hoods and rear engine covers (DP's ) on many of their models around the year that you own. My sister's 2004 DP had issues like yours with both the front hood and rear engine cover.

There are many ways to do the repairs. Many added screws and re-glued. You should find a variety of solutions, including some particularly about yours on the Winnie Owners Forum.

I have used jbweld with good results.
Roughen both surfaces with sandpaper and clean with solvent such as alcohol or acetone.
Drill a few #10 holes in both surfaces.
Clamp well per jbweld directions.
