Horizon Trailer Hitch Fuse Location

I have a 2002 Horizon 36LD and am at my wits end looking for the brake light fuse for the trailer hitch plug. I searched this forum and found a post that indicated it was behind the louvered panel on the coach A/C unit on drivers side. I removed the screws and lifted the panel but found nothing that even resembled a box or screws that accessed a cover. Called Winnebago and they told me the same thing that was in the post. I began tracing the wires and they seemed to be running down the passenger side. I did find a bundle of wires and a couple had what looked like terminations and were labeled "rear lights" and "water fuel". Also a big fat connector. Any idea as to where the fuse is? I have looked in the power/water compartment and found nothing. What type of fuse do they use?
Was leaving in the morning. Any help would certainly be appreciated. Lights and turn signals work, just no brake lights.

On my 01 UA, all my chassis fuses are in the most forward bay on the drivers side.

Thanks John but my Freightliner chassis fuses are located in the front behind a door panel that accesses the air and genset. I believe Winnebago puts the trailer fuses someplace else. Really ticks me off when the fuses are not where you can get to them or you gotta go searching. Sounds like they want you to go to the dealer for this.

Try looking in the electrical bay on the driver's side (where your power line is located). Don't know about '02's, but mine has a removable panel at the right side of the electrical bay, removed by 4-6 screws. Behind it you may find the fuses. This panel on mine has a label stating something like 'chassis electrical components'.

Not sure if they are the same for yours but mine are in the rear on the drivers side. To get to them I had to remove two screws on the bottom of the rear drivers side panel covering the radiator.

Thank you but panel is not there. All I see is the charger/inverter and the transfer switch.

I can't believe mine is so different but every suggestion made will not match my situation. We are leaving tomorrow without brake lights on the toad so please don't turn me in-ha. I think I will be looking for another mfg. next time I buy. I have checked every DC fuse I can find on the rig, everything else works.

Thats not all that unusual for Winnebago. I bought my coach new they did not even have an owners manual for me to refer to it came with a manual for a 36ft not a 39ft which had a completely different layout almost a year later the 39 manual came out and still the info was not accurate.

I had a simmilar problem with trailer hitch lights...a blown fuse in the fuse box located in the engine compartment on the fire forward firewall. Replacinf the fuse required going to the bedroom, lifting the bed and removing the metal panel above the motor compartment. The fuse box was just below the metal cover on the fire wall near the center (left to right).

Well, I left for Canada anyway. I have checked for the fuses behind the AC louvered panel on the rear drivers side, checked in the compartment just forward of the louvered panel (charger/inverter and transfer switch). Finally got around to removing the engine cover under the bed. Found the computer boxes on a bulkhead and a small fuse box with two bayonet type 10a fuses and some relays. Fuses are labeled "reverse lamp" and "engine power". Relays include "exh brake", Neut sense", neut start", Battery power. Nothing that says "brake" I'm about to give up.

Maybe I'll pull those fuses and check em. Were they 10 amp. I assume the fuses are bayonet type automotive? Was the box black plastic with a hinged/snap cover?
