Hot Water Flow

The hot water in my bathroom sink seems to have a (for lack of better wording) a slow flow. In order to get a comfortable temp, I have the hot water full on and the cold just barely cracked. Is that normal? The kitchen sink is fine.

Probably caused by a poor layout as far as the plumbing is concerned. Since rv plumbing is low pressure the more elbows and fittings they used the more the flow is restricted. If you have removed and cleaned the screen in the end of the faucet there is probably not much more you can do. I suppose it's possible the hot water side of the faucet could be bad so you could remove the line at the inlet then run it into a bucket to test.

Definitely look for a blockage on the Hot side.. the run is short enough that it shouldn't be noticeably lower than the kitchens pressure.

It did not just start. It's been that way for a while. I think I'll pull the H/W faucet and see if some of the crud from this Las Vegas water has accumulated in there.

I think what was meant was has it always been this way or did it just happen lately?

Coming into this discussion a little late however do you run filters coming off the shore hookup? I have always been concerned and I have observed contaminants entering my system although those contaminants were trapped by the filter.

... and I have to agree with the DX process here .... "What changed?"

I have an in-line filter. The water in Las Vegas requires one. A friend drained and flushed his H/W heater and I was suprised at the amount of white crud that came out.
It seems as tho the pressure is the same on the hot and cold side. Possibly the way the faucet mixes it?

You might want to take a look at your outside shower (if you have one) and make sure the two faucets are off.
If they are on and the shower head valve is off there can be a cross feed that will cause the problem. It often affects the bathroom faucets most because it is often located close to the bathroom.

I thought you said only the hot had low pressure in the bathroom, but am I reading it right that hot and cold have low pressure?

Have you cleaned the aerator screens? That would cause poor flow for both hot and cold water.

The outside shower is turned off. Both the hot and cold have good pressure. The areator was the first thing that I checked.
I'm just going to take both faucets off and see if there is a clog inside that thing

Finhawk, have I been reading this wrong? I am seeing you saying that both the cold and hot have about the same pressure if both are turned on full one at a time. Is it just that the water is not hot enough? If so follow the lines back and use insulation on them to keep heat loss to a minimum. In my shower if I do a quick wet down then turn the head off I get a cold shot when I turn it back on. It is amazing how fast the temp drops.
