I have an '06 Meridian 36G and I'm wordering what is the trick to fully pull out the house battery tray. It looks like I'm short about 1 foot of cable from the + (red) terminal. When the tray is extended I can work on the first battery but the second is still inside the MH. Any ideas?

You may need to slide under it and watch with a flashlight while someone pulls out the tray. Most likely either the cable is hanging up on something in back, or the cables were wire tied too tightly. Either way it's a pretty easy fix. Mine is very tight to pull out towards the end of the tray, but it is the heavy gauge cables dragging on the sides of the compartment.

Had the same issue. I cut a 2x2 board the length needed to wedge behind the battery tray and the rear wall. Hope you understand what I mean by wedgeing it in there. Another option is to drill a hole through both frame rails when fully open and temporarily drop in a bolt or screw driver to hold it open as you work.
