Question House Battery Wire Gauge

I have a 2006 Winnebago Sightseers 26P and it's time to replace the house batteries.
I was using Interstate 100AH AGM's but they are fried. They will drop from 13.75 to 10.75 in less than 1 hrs. when I shut off the electricity. They read fine on the Blue Sky 2000E Solar Booster Controller when plugged in and the solar panels charging them but they just plan don't hold a charge! Just a note: I have two (2) solar panels one at 130 watts and the other at 135 watts. We do some extended boondocking.
  • I am planing to have 2-6v T-105's installed. It was suggested to me that I have them wired with #2 gauge wire at a minimum or better yet #2/0 welding cable. I may be expanding the house batteries from 2 to 4 shortly. Is this wiring the proper gauge for hooking up batteries?
  • Also, will the house battery tray be able to handle four (4) T-105's if I move the Chassis Battery out of this compartment?
  • I am also having an Olympian Wave 8 Catalytic heater hooked up to the oven propane line with piping to come up just underneath the sink and then a flexible 6' hose with a quick disconnect to the heater. I am also having a gate valve put on the hose at a point just behind the quick connect. Just looking for some feedback on this set up or advice. Thanks.
I am having a local RV shop do the work and I want to be able to tell them exactly what I want.

Kammy,
The 2/0 copper welding cable is good for when you add the two additional batteries. Keep your runs as short as possible.

As for your battery tray, take the measurements from the T-105 battery specs and measure your battery tray. You may have to play with the orientation of the batteries to get them to fit.

if you go to lifeline agm's as i did, you can lay them on their sides so you can get 63% more capacity in the same space. my batteries weigh 90# each.
