For those of you who are not full timers, how many miles per year do you put on your coach? I was just wondering how we compare because in our almost 28 months of ownership we have recorded 33000+ miles (had 1400 when we took delivery) on the odometer. Although we are not full timers, we have made three long trips ranging in length from one to three months. Just curious to see how we stack up in the utilization scheme of things.

I am still working full time but we've managed 11,000 miles since we got this rig in Feb. 05. 5,300 of that total was a recent 28 day trip out West. We hope to average 6,000 per year.

We both still work also, but average about 7,000 miles per year.
We do a lot of camping in our home state of NY (just got back from 10 days in the Adirondacks) but get to Florida every year in March/April.

We have been averaging a little over 9,000 miles per year. My wife retired a couple years ago and I just retired this month so we intend to increase the mileage sbstantially over the next few years.

We are retired and not full timers -- seems like we don't get to go as much as we would like, but we have been averaging around 12,000 miles per year. Stay in sunny Florida three months a year so that keeps miles from racking up as we stay in one place for the whole season.

Based on the early results it looks like for non-fulltimers a lot of us are sure making use of our motor homes. Did the higher fuel price cause anyone to slow down this summer. I know we put 8000+ miles on our rig from the first May to the end of July.

We've had our coach almost exactly 18 months now. Had 825 miles on delivery, turned over 10k on the way home from Gatlinburg this afternoon.
My DW is still working full time, and I run a business from home which gives me some flexibility to get away, but most of our travels have been weekends along with five or six longer trips.
I can't say that the higher fuel prices caused us to slow down much, our work schedules did some.
I took advantage of the Workhorse Flying J gift card this afternoon in Knoxville. Gas was 2.019, I took over 65 gal and only had to cough up 38 bucks. Thanks, Workhorse!

We're averaging right at 7000 miles per year on our rig.

We both work full time, 2 kids in school, put about 3000 to 4000 miles a year. Gas price does not deter us, just time.

In two years since I have purchased my toter we have racked up just about 35K and I am still working full time. My son is taking over the business and letting us get a few more weeks on the road.

skigramp,
I glad to see so many of us are getting out and using our MH's. We have covered 43 states and 5 Canadian Provinces during the time we have owned our MH. This summer we plan on visiting two or three more states and a couple more Provinces on the way to Alaska.
The funny thing is that when we started talking about buying a RV, our non-RVing friends all told us how they knew people who spent all their money on an RV and never used it. I just don't understand why anyone would not take advantage of the opportunities offered by RV-ing. ****, I am starting to sound like a commercial for the RV industry. Now, if I could only figure out a way to get them to pay my travel expenses.
