I was just curious as to how frequently owners with the corner shower stall have to reseal their enclosure. I have a very slight reoccurring leak that drips down into the dump valve area then I reseal all is ok for about 8 months and it starts again. The only part that has not been sealed is the fold down seat that is mounted on the wall. Also which product works best?

I sealed mine recently with Pro Flex sealant I got from Camping World. That stuff really works well and I believe will outlast the silicone bathtub type sealant.

While in Florida this past winter I noticed a leak near the shower and thought it was from splashing out the bottom of the shower door, then I thought it was from the plumbing and upon close inspection I found it to be the shower surround where it meets the bottom pan. I caulked around the shower pan and leak was gone. Used silicone, the motorhome was 2½ years old and that was the first time the shower was caulked.

I used a water based caulking product that claimed to be purposefully built for wet locations and not even a year later my caulking bead has failed.

I will shortly be re-caulking the tub to shower wall seam using a conventional latex product as soon as I have the time to do so.

Has anyone used CLR to remove scale deposits on the metal framing? The seal or skirt is also failing on the bottom of the shower door and I gotta get that fixed as well.
