how to remove light switches in 2011 Journey 40U

Our accent lights are not turning on and I want to diagnose the issue. How do I remove the switch cover to test for voltage in/out of the switch?

Yep, beenthere has it right. You need to very carefully work a strong pocket knife blade along the outside edges first. Then you will feel as you go where the snap part is. Once you find this, usually at the top and bottom put a piece of cardboard between the wood and the knife blade and carefully work up one corner then pry off. Be prepared to replace the plastic bezel as they do break. You can get them from Lictsstin (sp). I have replaced two over the years.

Before you break something, check the plug-in where the accent light string meets the body wiring. This is on the ceiling - find the end of the accent light string. Mine come loose a lot. By just wiggling the connection makes the lights work. Vibration must work them loose. Good luck.

That was the issue exactly! It is working again. Thank you.
