Talk about good timing - one of the Sleep Number bed displays started to loose LCD segments while we are at the GNR. This is good news since the bed manufacturer was one of the vendors attending GNR.

When I told the guy what our display was doing, he gave me a new unit (you cannot just replace one part of the system - you get a new air pump and controls.) He said they were having some problems with the displays in the RV environment so it was redesigned a little with surge protection for the display.

Here is a link to how I changed mine out.

FYI
The sales person is correct as our SN bed at our stick house recently encountered the same problem. Like you said, they replaced the controller(s) and pump.

I just replaced the regular mattress in the coach with a sleep number mattress. The work was done by the nice people at CW. My friends have a Pace Arrow 38L and it came with a sleep number bed. My friends sleep number had to be replaced due to one side not workingand it was replaced with a restonic(?). I asked the CW people if they had any problems and was told they saw no out of the "ordinary" problems. I am wondering if the new unit I had installed is one that has the newer pump unit? How would one know?
