X2 on WD-40. My rear jacks were slow to retract as well and I would have to push them up the final few inches. I wiped them down with WD-40 and also cleaned up inside where they retract with qtips. They work great now. I now spray them down and wipe off anytime they've been extended more than a few days.

WD 40 not the answer for sticking jack

The LF jack has been a problem for maybe 12 of the 17 year life of the coach. The RF jack began needing help to fully retract maybe 5 years ago so I called HWH and the woman I spoke with said to spray WD40 on the jacks. I did this and it mostly solved the RF jack problem. The LF behaved pretty much the same. I always had to use a lever to push it all the way back in. Last month when preparing to leave I sprayed WD40 on the front 2 jacks. I got my crow bar (lever bar) out to push the LF jack the rest of the way up and though I exerted considerable force I could not get it to go the last 5 or so inches. So I extended the front jacks again, sprayed WD40 again, pressed store, got the crow bar under it and forced it up a few inches and it just would not go back in. Repeat 2 more times and on the third attempt improved my leverage and got the damn thing all the way up. So I am still waiting (over 5 weeks) to hear from HWH and hope someone here has some insight into this particular malfunction.

Hydraulic pressure is released and spring pressure retracts the jacks. Ours take about 5 minutes on a hot day and up to 15 on a cold day. The computer takes longer to complete the cycle for the extension warning while driving before changing to travel mode. Weak springs or hydraulic pressure not releasing could be a factor assuming the process is given enough time

HWH jack slow to retract

My jacks on a 2005 were real slow and sometimes wouldn't retract completely. WD40 helped but replacing the retraction springs solved the problem. Work like new now. They retract in about a minute. Winter or summer. The new springs are an improved version, slightly different looking than the originals.
