Are the retraction coils straight or tapered?

If straight they're the older ones like we have.

Call or email HWH with the jack number. They are very helpful and can give you the numbers. We had them changed at their factory and the new ones are tapered on the ends.

Find the number of the jack if it is HWH and go to http://www.hwhcorp.com/quickrefjacks.pdf search for your jack number it will give you part numbers for CYLINDER SPRINGS, WARN SW, PRESS SW. You can call them for the part number that you want and they will ship it to you direct. I have replaced Jack Springs in 2 previous Motor Homes that I have had. Be sure to check them all.

Tapered ends are the new style, straight ends are the old style. I read some time ago that HWH changed to the tapered new style springs in 2003-2004. My Journey was built in Nov 2005 and has the tapered springs.
