I know you said you were out of warranty, but did you contact HWH about the recurring problems. Sometimes companies will/have done goodwill repairs when repetitive failures occur on an otherwise good product. They probably don't want negative reports on their products to be see by many people who read forums.

A case in point is when Winnebago did a goodwill repair (3) times on our hood latches breaking even after it was out of warranty. Sharp fixed our micro-convection oven N/C after it was over a yr out of warranty.
