Going to change the hydraulic filter located near the rear grill on my new 04 Ultimate Freedom with the 400 ISL Cummins. The old filter looks a little rusty around the edges.

Anything special to look out for, as far as prefilling, etc.?

Thanks.

Hello, On my o6 cat 350 there was a recall on the filter and i didn't find out about it until it pluged up and blew the low side line off the power steering. Over a full gallon blew out! Now to your question, once you find it (it took me some time) just swap it out and check the fluid level in the tank, take er for a spin around the block turning the wheel left and right it should self bleed itself. Took me a few miles but i had a complete loss of fluid. Don
