I plan on having the brake system flushed come spring but are there any recommendations on having the hydraulics for the jacks & slides flushed at certain intervals? I assume there's test strips I could use to check the fluid to see if it's needed but I'd rather just get it done for piece of mind. I've done the other fluids already on the coach so I'm good to go there.

any ideas on the cost for that if it's needed?

I believe the big reason for brake flush and change approx 2yr intervals is that water will not compress in a brake system, it will turn to steam in a hard brake situation. Standard hydraulics probably is not that sensitive. It is a good question and one I have not seen addressed previously.

Check your owners manual. On the Lippert jacks/slide system the fluid is ATF, not brake fluid. It states= change fluid in tank every 36 months with Dexron3 fluid. If you find a magnet in the tank - clean it too.

If you have HWH jacks/slide system, it is also ATF fluid. Give HWH a call, 563-724-3396, 800-321-3494, for their answer

just spent about an hour on the HWH website looking thru manuals & bulletins. Found the procedures on how to change out the system fluid (pretty involved) but nothing about change intervals. I emailed them inquiring about it or the test procedures to verify fluid condition. I'll post what they reply with.

HWH replied pretty quick. Basically, there is no "flush" schedule for the jacks/slides system as long as there's no water contamination or jack issues. As long as everything is working as it should be, leave well enough alone...one less thing on the PM list to worry about!!
