We're in the reasearch phase still and right know the Itasca 40cd is in the lead of choice for a coach.

Was just wondering about the hydronic dual zone heating, how well does it work.

Is it much quiter than a furnace (all I've owned to date is a TT and right now a 07 Titanium 5'er)

Thanks for all replies. Trap

True! You will love it. In a closely spaced MH park, your neighbors may not.

I love my Aqua-Hot heating system and would not consider a coach without it. As for the close neighbors on the exhaust side, I fabricated an exhaust pipe that delivers the exhaust well above the roof of my coach. It doesn't make any more noise than most propane heating systems. After three years of running in RV parks I have never received a complaint about the exhaust. The pipe will also double as a generator exhaust.

My hydro hot is has a very noisy pump motor. I have had comments (not complaints yet) from other sites about the noise level. Anyone else? I plan one having it checked out on the next schedules maint.

My Brother-in-law has a Country Coach, with the Hydro Hot system. I don't know if it wasCountry Coach or who, but it is not installed right. The installer decided not to user the domestic hot water part, so it has a thermal switch that impedes the coach heating part. I tried to jumper the thermal switch, but that makes it do funny things when its off. Stupid system, the way it is installed, but should work fine once I get done with it. My Only negative comments about it would be, it is noisey, at least on the outside, and some of that noise does come inside. and it is a bit of a power pig, on the battery side of life. Other than that, I like Hydronic heat. It just does not lend itself well to Boondocking. Save it already, I now what the next question will be:
Why would you Boondock in a 40' Intrigue? My answer: Why not?
I know they were built to go from park to park, but hey, some parks don't have hookups.

Thanks everyone, while we don't mind boondocking, we're not all that crazy about it either, at least not more than a few days occaisonally.

Does sound like everyone likes it better than the forced air furnace's.
