I have a 2004 Sightseer 30B and it does not have the leveling jacks. I was wondering if Winnebago pre wires for those kits and if so could I buy the appropriate Kwikee kit making the install easier? Thanks for any ideas on the best and most economical way to do this.

Jim;

As a suggestion you could give HWH a call at 800-321-3494. They are a very customer friendly company. My Chieftain came equipped with HWH and I have had excellent service from them.

They don't prewire. My coach has the Kwikee levelers and the wiring harness appears to have been furnished by them to Winnebago.

Mine have malfunctioned twice in 6 years. The control board died in both cases. The first time under warranty. The last time a couple of months ago cost me $400 for a new board. I did the trouble shooting and installation myself so no labor was involved.

One thing to be aware of - Kwikee used to have great customer service but since being bought by the same company that owes Power Gear, has NO customer service and will not even talk to you. Two dealers I spoke with said they can't get answers either.

If at all possible I will never again buy a motor home with their products on board.

You might want to investigate Big Foot Leveling systems

We had to get our Power Gear jacks repaired and they wouldn’t talk to me at all. I had to find a RV repair shop and have him order the repair kits. At that it took him four weeks and many follow-up calls to get the parts. It seems they are just holding on and not real viable right now. I fear were going to end up with jacks and steps and no supplier to sell parts for repairs. As it is now I can't do my own repairs because I can't buy parts.
