Installation of Ceiling Fan in the Living Room

I have a 2012 Itasca Ellipse 42QD and am thinking of installing a ceiling paddle fan in the living room. Has anyone done this?

Thanks,

John

I Had a 2010 Winnebago Tour and installed a fan in the living room. Not sure if your ceiling is the same as my coach but read the 7th paragraph of this thread I started several years ago

LJowdy,
Thanks for the info, in my ceiling it has the accent lighting around a "drop down" and would be installing the fan there. I can actually drop that piece down as I have many times to repair the rope lighting so should be able to run the wire through there. Thanks again for the info.

John

Yes, I did this. Dropped the ceiling accent panel. Bought a Trusty 12v ceiling fan. Picked up power from the roof vent fan. Installed a wireless remote for the roof vent and another one for the ceiling fan. Love it! Use the ceiling fan a lot. Need any details, let me know. Good Luck.
