Hello to all you experienced rvers. I'm hoping you can give me some advice about installing a medicine cabinet in our 2004 Sightseer. It would just be the type that hangs on the wall but I want to be sure not to put screws into a wall without support or worse yet, put a screw through the plumbing pipes! If any of you have some ideas that you think will work, please let me know. Thanks in advance! Pat

I added one to the bath room side wall in our Sightseer. I talked to Winnebago about it and they confirmed what I remembered from a factory tour - that there is aluminum that extends about two inches down from the ceiling. It is the extrusion that the roof connects to.
I put a couple of self tapping, self drilling metal screws there and a couple of molly bolts close to the bottom. It has stayed in place for several years and probably 30,000 miles.
I found that I had to add a hook and eye for travel to keep the door closed - the magnetic latch didn't cut it.

if you go outside in the early morning when there is some dew (and before the sun evaporates it) you will be able to see the locations of the aluminum supports ...

I believe some of the drawings on this site (the sticky) shows the plumbing, wiring and structural installs. I asked Winnie about the roof in the bedroom for a fan and they sent me the roof drawings.
